Virgin River Season 6: The wait for fresh episodes of Virgin River on Netflix is nearly over! Over a year has passed since the season 5 finale aired in November 2023, but now we’re ready to dive back into the lives of our favorite characters in Virgin River season 6.

As the countdown nears its end, make sure you’re all set for the 10 new episodes. Discover when to tune in, what’s coming your way, and some exciting news about season 7!

When will Season 6 be Released on Netflix?

If you haven’t set your alarms yet, Virgin River season 6 is dropping on Netflix on Thursday, Dec. 19. The new episodes will be available for streaming starting at 12:00 a.m. PST / 3:00 a.m. EST on that day. It’s a bit of a late-night release, but totally worth staying up for!

Here’s some exciting news about the release of Virgin River season 6! Unlike season 5, which was split into two parts with 10 episodes in September and two holiday specials in November, season 6 will be available in one go. With just 10 episodes, all of them will be available to stream starting Dec. 19.

Virgin River Season 7 is Confirmed!

As you wrap up your latest binge of Virgin River, filled with yet another season finale full of cliffhangers, don’t fret about the show coming to a sudden halt. Netflix has confirmed that Virgin River will be back for a seventh season. Just like season 6, we can expect around 10 episodes, with a release likely to happen sometime in 2025.

While we won’t know all the exciting developments for season 7 until we watch season 6 unfold, one thing is certain: Mel and Jack are getting married. In addition to confirming season 7, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith revealed to Netflix’s Tudum that the next season will dive into their “honeymoon phase,” highlighting the couple’s new journey as they begin their married life on the farm.

What to Anticipate From the Upcoming Episodes of Virgin River season 6

For dedicated Virgin River fans, the upcoming season promises plenty of excitement. We’ve watched Mel and Jack’s journey from the very beginning, and now they’ll finally experience the joy of celebrating their love with a beautiful wedding, surrounded by their loved ones. But, as with any great TV wedding, we can expect some drama along the way—so hold on tight!

At the end of season 5, Mel finally met Everett Reid, her biological father, who brought her letters from her late mother. Just before the season ended, he hinted at having some important news to share with her. What could it be? Is it a big revelation, or just a twist to keep us on edge? Either way, it looks like Everett is about to stir up some drama with his upcoming disclosure.

Season 6 brings a lot of intriguing plotlines. Doc’s health is improving, offering some much-needed relief. On the other hand, Preacher could face serious legal consequences after the discovery of a body. Lizzie and Denny are gearing up for parenthood, and Brady’s relationship with Lark is about to get more complicated. Lark is hiding something, and it could spell trouble for Brady.

In the season 6 trailer, there’s a moment between Brie and Brady that’s bound to excite their fans. Benjamin Hollingsworth called the upcoming season “spicy” and “steamy,” and specifically mentioned that episode 5 is one to watch. Could this be the episode where Brie brings a smile to Brady’s face when she knocks on his door, as teased in the preview? Fans certainly won’t want to miss it!

Season 6 brings back a familiar face we haven’t seen since season 4—Ricky’s return is sure to excite fans! Additionally, we’ll dive into flashbacks of Mel’s parents, Sarah and Everett, set in the 1970s. Jessica Rothe and Callum Kerr portray the younger versions of Mel’s parents during their first meeting, hinting at the possibility of a prequel spinoff. With so much to look forward to, you won’t want to miss a single moment!
